Exceptional angling opportunities are available year-round through Angling Adventures. Around here, our only adversary can be the over-abundant spring rains. Of course, without them, we wouldn’t have such plentiful returns. Pick the time that works best for you, keeping in mind that peak seasons fill up fast. While the best fisheries are usually booked up to a year in advance, Jack will do everything possible to accommodate your needs. There are normally always salmon or steelhead in the system, with peak opportunities in spring and fall. Sturgeon enter the estuary in spring and early summer, with both "keeper" size and the occasional oversize fish up to 300 lbs. readily available. The shad fishery is perfect for kids, with 25-plus fish per day the norm. The smallmouth bass are prolific in summer. It’s not uncommon to hook over 40 per day, most averaging a pound or two, with occasional brutes every now and then to prolong the excitement.
